Getting Started

Build a Country is a Roblox strategy and tower-defense experience from canard’s secret studio. It released on 21 May 2026. Each server holds five players. You spawn with a tiny town on a plot, grow population, sell cash, expand toward a city of the future, and then choose allies or war until someone takes the server. Day one is the hour where most runs are decided, and it is almost never decided by the first tank.

This page is the spawn checklist. After you can keep builders busy without panic, move to How to Play for the full loop and How to Make Money for the cash engine. If the HUD is a wall of labels, park on Controls for one minute, then come back.

Join, spawn, and look around

Open the official experience, join a public server, and wait until your plot exists. Do not sprint into a fight prompt. Walk the edge of the plot. Note where the storage box sits, where builders will path, and which direction the other four countries face. A five-player lobby means you have four neighbors, not a crowd. Their flags are the whole political map.

Camera work is ordinary Roblox: WASD or the left stick to move, right-drag to orbit, tap or click to select, pinch to zoom on mobile. The build HUD is on-screen. Read the live labels instead of guessing. Nothing on this wiki invents a unique hotkey for Build a Country.

Redeem codes before you spend the starter pile

The official description still lists 5MVISITS for cash and a limited-time sign, marked GONE SOON. That is a one-shot bump, not a strategy. Redeem it, or whatever is still live, using how to redeem codes before you place a wide military pad you cannot afford to refill. If the code is already gone, skip the sulk and play the loop; codes are a head start, not the engine.

Population is the first product

A tiny town becomes a city because people live there. Housing is how population arrives. Farms and other production keep that population useful so you can sell cash. Do not treat population as a cosmetic crowd. Later multipliers, including the 2x Population gamepass, only matter if the base number is already climbing.

Place a mix you can actually finish. Builders have to construct what you queue. A beautiful plan with nobody working is an empty plot with extra clicks. If the queue is long and the box is full, you have a storage problem, not a need-more-tanks problem. The Buildings Guide covers housing versus production versus military versus the plot box without fake gold prices.

Keep builders busy, not decorative

Builders are the clock. Every house, farm, and later military piece waits on them. Idle builders mean you either ran out of cash, ran out of storage, or stopped queuing work. 2x Builder Speed is a real shortcut if you already have a backlog. It is a waste if the queue is empty.

Watch the plot the way you would watch a kitchen line. If one builder is walking and the rest are standing, find the stall. If everyone is walking but cash is falling, you queued more than you can sell. If cash is fine and nothing is finishing, look at the storage box. Infinite Storage exists as a gamepass because that box is a choke, not a decoration.

Look at the four neighbors

Before you think about war, orbit the server. Who started a farm belt? Who dropped a tank silhouette on grass? Who is already sitting next to someone else’s flag? Five-player politics are small and fast. An early alliance can freeze you out. An early war can donate your starter cash to whoever did not fight.

Delay the first declaration. You want selling cash high enough that a lost tank or plane is an invoice, not a reset. The economy playstyle page is the mindset for this hour: print, store, sell, then look up. Military pages can wait until the bank can restock.

Delay war on purpose

Official media shows tanks, planes, and flags for a reason. This is still a war game. It is also a game that starves you if the military layer eats the town. Day one success is a short list:

  1. Codes attempted.
  2. Population climbing.
  3. Builders never idle for long.
  4. Storage box not jammed.
  5. Four neighbors scouted.
  6. No war declared unless someone declared on you and you have no choice.

If someone else starts the fight, survive, replace losses, and do not revenge-queue your whole bank. How to Play explains how war sits at the end of the loop, not the start.

First-hour checklist

  • Join and confirm you actually have a plot.
  • Redeem live codes from the how to redeem steps.
  • Place housing and production you can finish.
  • Sell cash on a rhythm, not as an afterthought.
  • Glance at the storage box whenever a builder stalls.
  • Orbit the other four countries once, then again ten minutes later.
  • Open Controls only if you are fighting the camera instead of the queue.
  • Bookmark How to Make Money for the first time cash feels stuck.

VIP, Change Size, Infinite Storage, 2x Population, 2x Money, and 2x Builder Speed are all real passes. None of them replace this checklist. Buy later, after the plot already prints.

The quiet first hour

The screenshot you want is a city of the future. The session you need is quieter: people arriving, builders walking, cash hitting the counter, and four flags still on the horizon. If you can describe those four neighbors at the end of the hour, you started correctly. If you can only describe your own tanks, you spent the hour performing for a server that is about to eat the performance.

Play the town. Scout the table. Leave the war button alone until selling cash can say yes.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for codes, war, and growing your country.

What should I do first after joining Build a Country?

Confirm your plot, redeem live codes with how to redeem, then queue housing and production so builders have work. Scout the four other countries before you think about war.

Should I buy a gamepass on day one?

Not until the plot already sells cash. 2x Money, 2x Builder Speed, and Infinite Storage help a working town. They do not fix an empty queue or a war you cannot restock.

When is it safe to think about war?

After population is climbing and selling cash can replace a lost tank or plane. Until then, delay declarations and read the economy playstyle page.

Why did my builders stop working?

They are usually waiting on cash, on the storage box, or on a queue you stopped feeding. Check those three before you place more military. The Buildings Guide covers the box and the job mix.

Is 5MVISITS still working?

The official description still lists **5MVISITS** for cash and a limited sign, marked GONE SOON. Try it from how to redeem codes and treat it as gone if the game rejects it.
